Visit to the mines of the Imperina Valley
The access point to the Mines area is located inside the park a short distance from Agordo. Center that gives its name to the whole valley and which is easily accessible by public transport from all locations in the Agordino
Shortly after the village at the entrance to the Imperina Valley is the recently restored Mining Center. Since 1600 the most important center for the extraction of copper first and of cupriferous pyrite later.
The walk in the village and the road leading to the extraction wells speak of a past dedicated to hard work in conditions unimaginable today.
The conservation work carried out on the site is extraordinary, completed by an exciting path to the access shafts to the mine. On site you can take advantage of guided tours thanks to the park guides.
The visit lends itself to being a half day excursion.
